Meet the 2019 Swim Team Coaches

Head Coach: Christi Collins

Christi Collins swam in the Community Swim Association (CSA) with different teams starting at the age of 10. She has coached a couple of teams including the Lawndale Lizards from 2006-2008 and then again last year. Christi also coached year-round with Greensboro Swimming Association (aka Swim GSA) for over 6 years and has  coached with some local high schools. Christi swam for both Northeast Guilford High School and Greensboro College. She has a degree in Biology and a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. After starting to work with Guilford County Schools she went back to school and got a masters in Special Education. Christi is a Special Education teacher at Haynes-Inman Education Center. She is excited to be back coaching with the Lawndale Lizards!

Head Assistant Coach

Sarah Walker: I am originally from Greensboro. I grew up swimming for the Friendly Frogs and Greensboro Swimming Association (GSA). I graduated from Grimsley High School in 2011 and attended Campbell University to swim and study history. In 2016 I attended UNCG for my Masters of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education. I currently teach Kindergarten in Aberdeen.

Assistant Coach

Ben Guyer: Ben has been a part of the Lawndale swim team since 2013 making this his 6th year. Ben just graduated from Page High School where he swam on the varsity swim team for the high school. This will be his second year as an assistant coach and he is excited to be a part of such an awesome team! Ben plans to attend South Carolina University in the fall.
